We warned everyone: the competition organized by Trace and Project X Paris was going to cause a stir on social networks. We're not mistaken: it's all the rage, and the applications are flooding in. All the more so as rappers and influencers like Kader Diaby have thrown their weight behind the project. Even going so far as to do a crazy rap to promote us!

Kader Diaby cuts out the instrumentation for Project X

We had no idea that launching what was initially a simple competition in partnership with Trace would cause such a tidal wave. But we obviously underestimated the scope of the event. Since the launch of the game at the end of 2022, the Project X Paris and Trace teams have been inundated with applications. It has to be said that the context is propitious, with the rap year 2022 just past, and the first season of "Nouvelle École" in particular, which may have inspired people to take the plunge. We'd like to thank you all for coming, and we'll do our utmost to choose the best among you.

For those of you who don't know the rules yet, we'll quickly remind you of the principle behind the " Your Project Your Trace ". Two prods were created by Dezess (with Saint Trust for the second), in very different moods. One is more trap/drill, in keeping with the current trend, and the other is in a sunnier, more danceable mood. To take part, all you have to do is download them and register online. by clicking here and kick us a dinguerie on it. All you have to do is send us your entry, and you're officially a candidate! And for the winner, not only a studio recording, but also the filming of the clip, and its broadcast on the Trace channels. In short, enough to launch a career, if you manage it right. So grab your mics!

One of the other reasons for the great success of this competition was the strength sent to us by numerous influencers, who didn't hesitate to talk about it on their networks. These included Nasdas, the representative of "chienneté" made in Perpignan, as well as Kader Diaby 4Real, the influential rapper who hit it big with his "Prototype" EP in December 2022. The artist gave us an unexpected helping hand, by laying down a crazy verse to promote our game, on a punchy and very up-to-date prod. The gesture, the attitude, the flow, it's all there, and we obviously thank him for having worked so hard for this event. He also made another video with Nasdas He also made a short film to build up the pressure around the competition. In short, he was 100% committed.

PXP x Kader Diaby, the collab that lasts

And it's no coincidence that the artist is so committed to this project. First and foremost, it's due to his personality, as he's always generous when it comes to putting on a show and getting everyone into a good mood. That's what we liked about him, in addition to his versatility. And that brings us to the second reason: we've been collaborating with Kader Diaby for several months now, or he's been sending us energy via social networks. He's one of our most active ambassadors, as he's proved again in recent weeks, but he's also first and foremost a great lover of fashion and sape. He's no stranger to streetwear - in fact, he's mastered its codes perfectly - and he even knows how to pose in front of the camera when he transforms himself into a model for Project X Paris, during our shoot with him and Boris Becker.

A highly successful shoot, it must also be said that they were given special treatment with several emblematic capsules from our catalog. Starting with the University capsule, and its centerpiece: the Teddy jacket bomber style, like those worn by American students in all the films and music videos of the 80s and 90s. Even at 23, Kader Diaby knows his classics and has mastered them. But with a touch of whimsy, with this rather unusual but very effective green color, and a hoodie of the same color underneath. Worn with jeans and a pair of Jordans in the same colors as the jacket, it's an almost perfect outift, with a nice nod to the 90's and a very important period in streetwear and urban culture.

But the artist is also at ease with more current trends, including our classic sweatshirt Signature. But here again, he decided to stand out from the crowd with a signature hoodie + signature jogging bottoms ensemble in full pink, all worn with the matching square shoulder bag and coin purse. It's risky, but it's a big yes, and it really suits her. Finally, we ended on the Patchwork capsule, a capsule with a rather avant-garde design, as you can see on the jacket and pants, with the yokes in different colors, lighter or darker. All on denim-style fabrics, and worn with a Project X Paris hoodie and a pair of Jordans. Once again, a hyper-stylish, effective and timeless look.

We loved working with Kader Diaby 4Real, as he's known on the networks, where he has a huge following. We'd obviously like to thank him for all the energy he's given us over the last few months, with his ever-cool stories, and wish him all the best for 2023, when we imagine he'll have plenty of projects up his sleeve. We look forward to working with him again soon!
