The bomber was originally manufactured for the American military in 1927, in particular for airmen who had to cope with the rigors of high altitude weather. The interior of the original bomber was orange, to help identify servicemen in distress.

Since then, the bomber has evolved. This timeless wardrobe staple has been updated by Project X Paris, while remaining faithful to the original model.

You'll find bombers in trendy pop colors, as well as prints and more original materials such as suede. The classic front zip also makes a place for itself on sleeves with tightened cuffs.

A flashback to the history of the men's parka.

The men's winter parka made history at the beginning of the 20th century, when Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen succeeded in reaching the North Pole in a men's parka made from sealskin and fur. At the end of the Second World War, this men's winter coat made a comeback. The "USAF N-3B", a waterproof, lined wool jacket with fur hood, was created to protect American soldiers from the elements. It was in the 60s that the parka became popular, particularly in England, thanks to the "Mods", the trendy young Londoners who picked it up. Later, the coat was featured on the catwalks and worn by celebrities. Nowadays, the men's parka is one of the must-have pieces in your wardrobe. Its history is not insignificant: men's parkas are adapted to winter and its temperatures. In the category of jackets for protection against the cold, this is the one with the most padding. What's more, its main "anti-cold" feature is the fact that the "outer" material is smooth. This is a godsend when it comes to withstanding the chilly winds of winter. Opt for a Project X Paris men's parka and you'll be adopting it.

What style of winter parka to choose?

There are many models of men's parkas, differing in cut, thickness and length. The key is to choose the parka that will enhance your silhouette. To do this, you need to think about the effect you want to give to your look. For example, an oversize men's parka. In other words, one or two sizes up, will drastically change the way you look... The question is whether you want to wear a parka "close to the body" or, on the contrary, in oversize. It all depends on the style, although the trend is for men's parkas to be worn oversized. A drawstring at the waist allows you to adjust the garment to your body shape.

    What color parka for men?

The parka's military origins make khaki its emblematic color. But since its origins, the men's parka has been available in other neutral shades. Easy to combine, a dark-colored parka can be worn over a dressy outfit. Black and navy blue are the 2 leading shades. Black acts as a super-revealing agent, highlighting the colors with which it is associated. It's therefore the most popular color for coats and parkas. There's also the essential camel parka, which is easy to wear because everything goes well with this neutral color. For a more assertive streetwear look, opt for bright red or burgundy to add a sporty touch to your outfit. Discover our range of trendy jeans to match our winter parkas.
