Match Planète Rap 3: the recap
On June 9, the third edition of the now famous Match Planète Rap took place. A football match organized for the Fondation Abbé Pierre, featuring a carefully selected cast of rappers and influencers, all in a legendary venue of the 93, the cradle of urban culture in France. Project X Paris was once again a partner of the event, which was another huge success.
A Dream Setting
Under a clear sky, the 3rd edition of Match Planète Rap took place at the Auguste Delaune stadium in Bobigny on Sunday, June 9. The venue, home to FC 93 Bobigny Bagnolet Gagny, was packed at the start of summer to watch the match that has now become a must for football and urban culture fans in the Paris region. In this large stadium with a 400-seat stand, the participants of this great celebration gave their all to help the Fondation Abbé Pierre, to which all event proceeds were donated.
A Big Party for a Good Cause
The Fondation Abbé Pierre initiated the event, well supported by the historic French rap radio, Skyrock. The foundation works for housing access for the most disadvantaged, a cause we are all obviously sensitive to. Therefore, organizing a big event with rappers and influencers and donating the proceeds to the foundation was an initiative we wanted to associate with at Project X Paris. Especially since we love being linked to events involving football and the rap game, and since both were on the program, it was a yes! To animate the afternoon, besides the match, concerts were organized with the best rappers present that day. Indeed, there was a great lineup, as in the two previous editions!
A 5-Star Cast Now that Match Planète Rap is a well-established event, many familiar faces come back to perform every year. Especially among rappers, with Beendo Z for example, already present in 2023 and certainly one of the hottest rappers with the ball at his feet. At every event linking football and rap, he dazzles the crowd with his talent, and it was no different on June 9. We also saw artists with whom we have collaborated many times at PXP, like Kodes and Rapi Sati, but also RK, or Fresh who traveled from Belgium. We also had two real phenomena of the new generation, Kerchak and Favé, to complete the rappers’ team.
Top Live and Influencers Present
The cast was not limited to rappers, as influencers also showed up massively for the event, with big names and people already present in previous editions. Boucif and Fares, for example, spread good vibes all afternoon for the delight of the young people present. Paul Kabesa, KMS, Attaching Boys, and others were also there. We must also mention France’s number 1 rap influencer, Mr. Fred Musa, who came to host this Match Planète Rap, as in past years. The event was broadcast live on KmSenKangoo’s Twitch channel, which we obviously thank, with the possibility to donate to the Fondation Abbé Pierre.
Project X Paris Official Partner of the Event
For the third consecutive year, PXP was a partner of Match Planète Rap and the Fondation Abbé Pierre for the event. We are more than delighted to associate with such an initiative that mixes solidarity, sport, urban cultures, and good vibes; it perfectly represents our brand and the values we want to convey. As since the event’s creation, Project X Paris was present at the Auguste Delaune stadium in Bobigny; we even had our logo as the main sponsor on all jerseys worn by both teams during the match. We also dressed the artists who performed at halftime, making the moment as stylish as enjoyable. PXP-branded goodie bags were also seen in the stands! It was obviously a privilege to contribute to this great celebration, a success once again this year.
The Fondation Abbé Pierre Wins
We barely talked about football, for an event called "Match Planète Rap." True, but that’s because the score was clearly not the most important thing. We won’t give it to you, but know that the rappers’ team ended up winning the match. As for the fans’ hearts, they conquered them a long time ago. But thanks to this event that shines a spotlight, it is indeed the Fondation Abbé Pierre that is the big winner of this third edition. With ticket sales, priced at 5 euros, and donations on Twitch, the association was able to raise a small sum that will hopefully help the most disadvantaged. In these times, solidarity is clearly one of the most important values not to lose sight of!
