Spider-Man Brand New Day: the trailer that changes everything

Four years later, no one remembers him. Peter Parker moves through New York like a ghost, permanently masked, alone facing a city that has forgotten him. The latest trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has just dropped — and it changes the tone.

Spider-Man returns to street level, in a darker New York than ever before.

The film in brief

  • Title: Spider-Man: Brand New Day
  • France release: July 29, 2026 (July 31 in the United States)
  • Director: Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi)
  • Cast: Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando
  • The shift: darker, more urban, at street level in New York

A Spider-Man erased from all memories

The starting point is brutal. At the end of No Way Home, a spell erased Peter Parker from the memory of the entire world. Four years later, no one knows who he is. Neither MJ, nor Ned, nor any passerby. He is the hero New York no longer recognizes.

The trailer establishes this solitude from the first seconds. Peter fights crime full-time, masked from morning to night. He watches his former friends move on without him. The film’s title, “Brand New Day,” is taken from a famous comic arc: a fresh start, where Peter starts from scratch. Here, the message is clear. Everything is erased, we start over.

Why this story speaks to us

At Project X Paris, we resonate with stories born in the streets. An anonymous figure in the crowd, a city that pulses, a silhouette rising alone: it’s the DNA of streetwear as much as it is of Spider-Man. New York as a backdrop, the pavement as a playground — this aesthetic, we know it by heart. ️

A transformation that could kill him

This is the big novelty of this chapter. Peter no longer fights just enemies: he fights his own body. The official synopsis says it bluntly. The pressure of everyday life triggers in him a “strange physical mutation that could prove deadly.”

The trailer shows the first signs. Powers going haywire, strength beyond control, a hero who no longer recognizes himself. This unstable evolution becomes the heart of the film. It may be his greatest threat — or his only weapon against what awaits him.

Punisher, Hulk: the big dark turn

This Spider-Man comes down to the streets, literally. Gone is the lighthearted teenager: the tone is harder, more violent, more adult. And two heavyweights from the Marvel universe appear in the trailer.

Jon Bernthal reprises his role as the Punisher, a ruthless vigilante who hunts Peter and even crashes into him in the street. Mark Ruffalo brings back Hulk — and the trailer reveals footage of a direct confrontation between the green giant and the Spider. Added to this are the return of Michael Mando and the appearance of the Hand ninjas, a secret society from Marvel folklore. Amid all this hovers an as yet unseen threat, which the film carefully keeps in the shadows.

Did you know?

The first trailer of the film shattered viewing records in record time, a sign of the huge anticipation around this new chapter. This final version relies less on revelations and more on emotion: it mainly tells Peter’s inner journey before the big theater release.

See you on July 29

Behind the camera, Destin Daniel Cretton, already at the helm of Shang-Chi. In front, a Tom Holland who has never seemed so alone in the suit. This third solo closes one trilogy and opens another, more mature, more rooted in the street.

The film is released in theaters on July 29, 2026 in France. A dark rebirth for one of pop culture’s most beloved heroes. We’ll be in front of the screen — and we’ll tell you all about it the day after the screening.
