The streets never lie, and this weekend, they spoke with rare intensity. At Project X Paris, our mission goes beyond just creating clothes: we live for the moments when urban culture comes alive. So naturally, we showed up to support the 5th edition of the LBDC Battle at the legendary Studio MRG.
More than just a competition, the weekend of February 14 and 15 turned Valentine’s Day into a raw celebration of dance, sharing, and style.
A Total Immersion in Dancehall Culture
The goal of Le cercle (Dikilla, Anne, Gato, and Pandimi) was clear: to make Dancehall culture resonate in France and Europe. For us, integrating this ecosystem is obvious. Streetwear and dance share the same DNA: that of uncompromising self-expression.
Saturday set the tone with explosive workshops. Collaborations between Gato & Dikilla and Anne & Pandimi showed that unity is strength, while the special guest from Jamaica, Craig Black Eagles, brought the authenticity we seek in each of our collections.
PXP Style Front and Center
To mark this special Valentine’s edition, Project X Paris deployed a strong visual identity on site. We wanted our presence to be as dynamic as the dancers’ movements.
The Coaches’ Uniform: For Saturday’s workshops, we dressed the instructors in our Pink Valentine Jersey. A bold choice breaking codes, combining the softness of the color with the energy of movement.
The Staff in Blue: On Sunday, the organizing team wore the Blue Valentine Jersey, ensuring visual coherence and pure PXP style professionalism.
The Champions’ Reward: Because talent deserves the best, battle winners left with our Black Valentine Jersey, an iconic piece symbolizing victory and urban elegance.
Results and Performance: The Elite Show Up
On Sunday, the tension rose with battles of international level, judged by authorities like Odile Paradox and Le K.
1vs1 All Style Dancehall Category:Huge respect to Nova Visual who took the win. His ability to blend styles while keeping the essence of Dancehall perfectly embodies the versatile spirit of our collections.
Team vs Team Dancehall Clash Category:The R.O.D Crewclaimed victory, proving that cohesion and collective style are keys to dominating the scene.
More Than a Partnership, a Commitment...
At Project X Paris, we don’t just provide clothes. Our support for the LBDC Battle was logistical, clothing, and financial. We firmly believe that investing in these events is investing in the future of urban culture.
By supporting Hip-Hop, Break, and Dancehall dance, we strengthen this sense of belonging to a community unafraid to shake up the lines.
"Streetwear is not just a fashion, it’s the reflection of a movement. This weekend at Studio MRG, we wrote a new page of this story together."
