Festival Fire Flame Orléans: why is the Zénith going to catch fire?

A September Saturday, the Zénith d'Orléans holds its breath. Six hours on stage, ten showcases, a spark lit by a child of the 45. The ember has been smoldering since the June press conference. On September 19, Fire Flame lights up the city's first 100% rap festival.

Fire Flame Festival: how Dosseh ignites rap in Orléans

Orléans had its venues, local stages, and its Zénith, but no major event dedicated to French rap. Dosseh, real name Dorian N'Goumou, decided to fill this gap at home. The Orléans rapper is the artistic director of the Fire Flame Festival, the first 100% rap and urban culture event hosted by the venue.

Alongside him, Willy Belinga, head of Nola Music and founder of the association LSVS, Le Succès Vous Suit. The project was born from discussions with the city hall at the end of 2025. Mayor Serge Grouard wanted an event entirely dedicated to rap in his city. The City of Orléans and Orléans Events, manager of the Zénith, joined as partners.

This setup changes the nature of the event. An urban music festival led by a local artist rather than an external promoter is reflected in the lineup choices: the Orléans scene is not a consolation prize, it shares the stage with national headliners.

Even the name comes from the personal. Fire Flame refers to a Birdman track Dosseh has always listened to, and to all the fire imagery that goes with it. No marketing meeting fabricated storytelling. One title, one obsession, one festival.

"Fire Flame is a personal thrill… Fire Flame, welcome home!"

— Dosseh

Did you know? The Zénith celebrates its 30th anniversary

The first edition of the Fire Flame Festival coincides with the launch of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Zénith d'Orléans. The festival's visual identity and communication were co-created with students from IAE Orléans.

Fire Flame 2026 lineup, from La Fouine to the Orléans scene

The lineup plays on two generations of French rap. La Fouine holds the role of historic headliner, bringing classics, street credibility, and stage experience that few share on this bill. His presence immediately places the festival in a different category than a discovery night.

Who performs on September 19:

  • La Fouine — the headliner, established figure of French rap
  • Dosseh — artistic director of the festival and child of Orléans
  • Yorssy — Orléans rapper, notably revealed via Nouvelle École
  • Genezio, TIF, Timar, Mous-K, JKSN — the recent wave, each with a showcase of about 30 minutes
  • DJ SYT — the opening DJ set
  • And names yet to be revealed among the ten announced showcases

The format imposes its law. Thirty minutes per artist is short: no one plays a full album, everyone brings out the tracks that hit. The programming covers a wide range of urban music, between trap, drill, and R&B colors. The local scene is not decorative, and eight days before September 19, the lineup is still not closed.

One point must be stated clearly: the lineup is 100% male. The organizers say they approached two to three female artists without success for this first edition. An open project for the next one. At Project X Paris, we follow these scenes closely enough to know this issue will be resolved on the next lineup.

Why call it a rap festival for one night at the Zénith d'Orléans?

The question is legitimate. The Fire Flame Festival takes place over one single evening, in one venue, without a village, food court, exhibitions, or workshops. Everything happens on the main stage of the Zénith, from 6 pm to midnight. On paper, it’s a big multi-artist lineup rather than a festival in the classic sense.

The word nevertheless expresses the intention. The City of Orléans claims an open rap for all, regardless of age, origin, or background, and openly wants to make the city a hub for urban cultures. The starting point is simple: rap dominates listening in France, but events entirely dedicated to the genre remain rare outside major metropolitan areas.

The real differentiating factor lies in the anchoring. Fire Flame is not a festival placed on a city, it is built with it: artistic direction entrusted to a local artist, talents from Loiret on the same stage as national headliners, visual identity signed by Orléans students. Few first editions can say as much.

One thing is missing from the picture, and let’s say it: no side activities are announced. No village, no stands, no exhibitions, no dance battles. The entire attention budget goes to the stage, and it’s a deliberate choice for a first edition. The day Fire Flame wants to last a whole day, it will have to open the rest.

What remains the true marker of this first edition is density. Ten showcases and one DJ set in six hours, no downtime, no contemplative breaks. Do you know what it’s like, a venue chaining ten stage entries without breathing? A continuous rise in temperature until midnight.

Three reasons to be excited

1. Density. Ten showcases and one DJ set in six hours, no downtime: the short format forces each artist to only play their hit tracks.
2. The clash of generations. Seeing La Fouine and the 2026 wave succeed each other on the same stage in one evening doesn’t happen twice a year in Orléans.
3. It’s a first. A city that never had its big rap event, a 6,900-seat Zénith to fill, and an edition that will decide if there will be a second. On September 19, the audience votes with their feet.

Fire Flame Orléans ticketing: prices, times, and Zénith capacity

Two prices, no hassle. €35 standing pit, €40 seated stands, on the official Ticketmaster ticketing open since June 29, 2026. E-ticket to print or pick up at a point of sale, both reception methods are free. Orléans Events also offers VIP access on request.

Regarding timing, the Zénith doors open at 4:30 pm for a show start at 6 pm and an announced end at midnight. Meet at 1 rue du Président Schuman, 45100 Orléans. Six hours of programming, enough to arrive early without regretting the trip.

The organizers aim for the venue’s maximum capacity, about 6,900 seats. As of September 11, tickets remain in both categories, with strong demand announced for the best seated places. Don’t wait if you want to choose your area.

ORLÉANS TAKES FIRE

Ten showcases, a city waiting for the spark, a Zénith celebrating its 30th anniversary. On September 19, the ember becomes a blaze — and if the promise holds, it’s only the first hearth of a long series.
