The scene takes place on July 24, on the set of the American show Today. 50 Cent came to talk business. He left having dropped the summer bombshell: “I’m working on new music. I did something with Eminem and 2Pac.” The set froze. He, with a smirk, clarified the essential: Pac’s verse is authentic, delivered by his estate — the heirs managing his archives. “It’s not AI. They delivered it.” And the family approved the result.
The symbolic weight is huge. 2Pac, who passed away in 1996, never crossed the mic with 50 Cent or Eminem during his lifetime. Em had already approached the legend by producing his posthumous album Loyal to the Game in 2004. 50 and Em share twenty years of classic tracks, from Patiently Waiting to Crack a Bottle. This track finally closes the triangle.
Street Fighter, the perfect ring for this three-way clash
The track will land on the soundtrack of Street Fighter, the adaptation of Capcom’s cult fighting game, in theaters on October 16, 2026. 50 Cent plays Balrog, the powerful boxer, alongside Jason Momoa as Blanka, Andrew Koji as Ryu, and Noah Centineo as Ken. The track, still untitled, is set to release before the movie.
