Fresh and Project X Paris energize Belgium!

Always aiming to partner with talents from the urban scene, Project X Paris collaborated with the young Belgian rap prodigy Fresh. With the rapper’s help, we set Brussels on fire, strengthening our strong ties with Belgium, a country at the forefront of urban culture in Europe.|NEXT|With Damso, Stromae, Shay, Isha, Hamza, Belgium has proven in recent years that it has nothing to envy France in terms of rap talent. The Flat Country is a land of hip-hop and urban culture, and Belgian rappers keep delivering hit after hit, now with the help of a "newcomer": Fresh, an artist from Liège, known locally until 2022. That same year, he achieved a real feat that boosted his career: winning the first season of "Nouvelle École," the rap show on Netflix, which has since had a second (and soon a third) season. This victory propelled him to the forefront, thanks to the show's success and how he followed up with his tracks.|NEXT|The rapper didn’t just win the show; he quickly released powerful tracks that have been widely played since. Notably "Chop," the song created especially for the "Nouvelle École" finale, which exploded in views. But that’s nothing compared to what followed: hits like "Aller Dehors" featuring Niska, a big success, and his freestyle videos on Skyrock. His win opened doors and gave him the chance to collaborate with many artists, although he always chooses his collaborations carefully. After releasing 3 projects and a reissue in 2 years (the latest, "P.M.R.", came out in March), he has built a solid discography!|NEXT|At Project X Paris, what interests us most about Fresh, beyond his musical talent, is his personality and especially how he manages his image. While his rap can sometimes be a bit aggressive, it’s also full of humor, and the artist always keeps a smile, with a sunny side when facing his fans. On top of that, he’s a big fan of fashion, particularly streetwear (normal for a rapper from Congo). We saw these two sides of his personality during his participation in Nouvelle École, especially on stage and in his videos. We made good use of this energy at PXP!|NEXT|Given how well Project X Paris is received in Belgium, we wanted to give back to our community and urban culture fans who were in Brussels at SNKM, an event fully dedicated to urban culture and streetwear, with shops, customization workshops, dance shows, and even tattoo stands. We were in charge of setting the vibe! The "Chill" area was dedicated to us, and we nailed it. A DJ was present all day to keep the atmosphere alive in our "Chill" zone. We also set up a relaxation corner where you could play FIFA with friends. But you know us, we never do things halfway at PXP. To light up SNKM and make a mark, we organized an exceptional showcase in collaboration with Fresh!|NEXT|Fresh came with a smile, setting the stage on fire by performing strong tracks from his catalog like "Chop" and "Allez dehors" with good humor and energy, in front of a wild crowd. Some dancers even started breaking. To send us strength, besides his impeccable black bandana, Fresh wore a key piece from our SS24 collection: the Minimal Flowers hoodie, offering a sober yet very street and soft look. We think this hoodie fits Fresh’s image well: tall, solid build, impressive but with an irresistible smile and humor. We saw this confirmed at the SNKM showcase where people really loved seeing him.|NEXT|Fans loved seeing him in a more intimate setting at the Project X Paris store in Brussels, located at 59 chaussée d'Ixelles. We also had a little surprise for Belgian fans: Fresh held a signing session at our Brussels store on May 10. He arrived wearing our iconic piece: the Essentials hoodie. In black, always, with a bandana, as often, we can say without exaggeration that Fresh is clearly one of the rappers who wears it best, even though he’s far from the first to try.|NEXT|Always smiling, the Belgian rapper, almost at home (he’s from Liège, not exactly nearby), showed infinite patience and good humor with all the fans who came to meet him, and there were many, as you could see from the images circulating on social media. It’s a great opportunity to see that his popularity is real! The fact that Fresh fills the room even when he just does a signing session in one of our Project X Paris stores shows people want to see him, and he now has open doors to deliver a classic album!
