Planète Rap 2 Match: the recap

Here it is, the long-awaited meeting between rappers and streamers/influencers finally took place!

It’s the perfect opportunity to take a quick look back at the event, organized for the benefit of the Fondation Abbé Pierre and which Project X Paris was honored to partner with.

Amazing crowd, incredible show on and off the field, great vibes: a look back at this perfect Sunday!

A Huge Success

We won’t hide our pleasure and will dive straight into the heart of the matter: the Planète Rap Rappers vs Influencers match was a huge hit.

Exceptional, the match gathered over 300,000 people live on Twitch, on Skyrock’s channel and on KMS’s channel!

Twitch audience numbers similar to the GP Explorer or the Streamers France vs Spain match organized by Amine earlier this year. As usual, we come strong!

This kind of event only makes sense if it is massively followed, so we obviously want to thank the many people who kept the chat and the event alive on social media and Twitch.

And it was not only followed on social media, but also on YouTube, where more than 130,000 people watched the replay on Skyrock’s YouTube channel.

As for the stands at the FC93 stadium in Bobigny, they were packed to the brim! More than 1,500 people came to support the event and the players on Sunday, who had to face very hot weather. It’s thanks to the crowd’s enthusiasm that the players were able to deliver a great show during the match, and there was plenty of spectacle!

The Big Show On and Off the Field

This was the main question around the event: what would be the real level of the participants? Would they deliver a great match? No professional athletes in the group, and a few rappers who, as we know, don’t shy away from partying during showcases. And as Marco Verratti has shown us for 10 years, partying is bad for cardio!

But the players and the show answered the call on June 11, with already a high-scoring game: the match ended 8-8. Lots of goals, but also many great moves. First among the streamers, with a very fit Boucif, who even assisted on Vargas’s opening goal. But also among the rappers, with a very lively and skilled Bendo Z and Favé in the opponent’s half, and a very fit Kerchak as well. Hatik also ensured the show, making everyone laugh with his hookah at halftime. We also saw a brace from ISK, and Kerchak played the whole match with his balaclava and even scored!

On the field, the show was guaranteed. And off the pitch, everything was just as lively! Thanks to the supporters, who came in large numbers to bring atmosphere to the stands. But also thanks to Fred Musa and everyone who commented in a way that was both passionate and full of humor, creating a great vibe while keeping the quirky/joking side we really appreciate. We also want to thank Kodes, who besides guarding the rappers’ goal (a tough task given the disorderly defense), put on a great halftime show with Rapi Sati and Coull B. A mini showcase full of energy at halftime, in front of a delighted audience.

Of course, we also thank all the dancers who really set the place on fire, as well as the prestigious guests who came to watch the match, like Rim'K, Sefyu, and Heuss L'Enfoiré, who coached his teammates from the sidelines like a Pep Guardiola of the 92.

Project X Paris Front and Center

We had a very beautiful moment of sharing and good vibes in Bobigny this Sunday afternoon, with a great show.

At PXP, we are extremely happy to have been able to participate in such a large-scale event, especially since it was for a good cause, to fight poor housing thanks to the funds raised for the Association Abbé Pierre.

Especially since for this match, we did more than collaborate, being a true leading partner for the match and everything around it.

Our brand was present on all the jerseys of both teams, to start with, as the official sponsor. We also provided the outfits for the dancers for their show, and distributed dozens of bucket hats, bags, and goodies in the stands during the match. Even the great Fred Musa joined in by dressing in PXP as well, wearing the short-sleeve plain shirt with pocket, black color. PXP shirts were quite popular that day, both among the dancers and Rapi Sati during his halftime show.

We enjoyed the atmosphere so much throughout the day that we are already looking forward to next year, to participate in the new edition if there is one. Given the situation, it’s very likely that the Fondation Abbé Pierre will still need a helping hand in a year, and we will be happy to be there. Taking part in such big popular events, where thousands of people gather with dancers, influencers, and rappers, is exactly the image we want to give of Project X Paris. Our "feel good" side is fully assumed, and we are delighted to have been able to carry these values of sharing and good vibes in front of so many people: 1,500 in the stands, plus 300,000 on Twitch, you are simply incredible.

We also take this opportunity to thank the members of the PXP team who were mobilized and present on site to ensure the smooth running of this unmissable event.

A big thank you to everyone, and see you next year!
