Summer Dance Forever and Fusion Concept, European pillars of freestyle
Without establishing a strict hierarchy, Summer Dance Forever and Fusion Concept Festival are among the major freestyle competition events.
Based in Amsterdam, Summer Dance Forever mixes battles, workshops, and conferences around House, Hip-Hop, and Locking cultures. The event highlights transmission and connection between generations, with judges and guests from the very foundations of these styles.
In France, Fusion Concept has built a strong identity around international battles and demanding artistic direction. The event values both performance and culture, bringing together established dancers and the new European wave.
World of Dance, the global showcase of hip-hop choreography
Unlike freestyle battles, World Of Dance focuses on hip-hop choreography. Here, crews present prepared, scripted, and precise shows.
Born in the United States, the concept has expanded internationally with qualifying competitions in many countries. Judging criteria focus on synchronization, creativity, staging, and collective technique. The event's media exposure has helped popularize the choreographic format to a wide audience.
World Of Dance today represents a major platform for teams working hip-hop with a stage approach.
The excellence of global Breaking at Red Bull BC One.
Red Bull BC One, the pinnacle of solo breakdance battles
In the world of breakdance, Red Bull BC One is a global reference in 1 vs 1 battles.
Created in 2004, the event annually gathers a select group of the best B-Boys and B-Girls. International qualifications and local cyphers feed a competition that emphasizes personality, musicality, and mastery of breaking fundamentals.
With breaking's entry into the Olympic Games, Red Bull BC One's visibility has increased, consolidating its status as a major event on the global circuit.
Oyofé Festival, international stage for afro freestyle dances
Afro dances also have their dedicated platform with the Oyofé Festival.
The event highlights styles such as Afrohouse, Coupé-décalé, Ndombolo, and other influences from various African countries and its diaspora. The freestyle battle format values energy, musical connection, and dancers' cultural identity.
Oyofé contributes to the international recognition of afro dances in the global street competition landscape.
Krump on the world stage: EBS, Illest, and K.O.B
In Krump, three events dominate the international scene.
EBS (European Buck Session) stands as the number one reference in Europe. The competition gathers major figures of the movement and remains attached to the original spirit of Krump, born in Los Angeles.
Illest Battle International in Paris holds a significant place in the Krump landscape. The event attracts krumpers from all backgrounds and highlights the expressive and narrative dimension of the style.
In Japan, King Of Buck (KOB) completes this trio. The Asian competition plays a structuring role in Krump's development on the continent and fosters exchanges between Western and Asian scenes.
These three battles embody the active standards of Krump in competitive format.
Dancehall in competition, between Juste Debout and international circuits
Dancehall, a dance born in the 70s in Jamaica, also has its dedicated arenas!
Internationally, Dancehall International brings together dancers and crews around a battle format focused on mastering steps, originality, and cultural knowledge. Dancehall will also be present at Juste Debout 2026!
Dancehall thus confirms its place in the global street competition landscape.
