KaNoé, the future star of the French Rap Game!
Revealed after an epic freestyle that exploded on social media in 2018, KaNoé has honed his skills and already released two albums, all before turning 18. A true phenomenon in French rap, who is also very passionate about fashion and streetwear. Focus on one of the revelations of recent years.
In 2018, a very young rapper whose name no one knew shocked the entire internet, especially French rap fans. 13 years old, a cigarette in his mouth (of course smoking is dangerous for health and he himself says so in interviews) and a rebellious look boldly displayed: KaNoé entered the game with a powerful freestyle and incredibly mature lyrics for his age. The phenomenon was born. He could have become one of those early stars who quickly disappear and are forgotten years later. But the Franco-Belgian Parisian rapper doesn’t see it that way. He already has two albums under his belt, all before turning 18, and apparently doesn’t plan to stop there.
KaNoé is a true product of this young urban generation: talented, resourceful, ambitious, and who perfectly understands current communication codes, as shown by his strong presence on social media, but also in major influential media like Konbini for example. Upon the release of "Savies" in 2020, then "Mauvaise Graine" in 2021, more and more media welcomed him. The artist is interesting, diligent, and quite technical compared to some of his competitors in French rap.
But he is currently at a pivotal point in his career. If at first his music could remind a bit of Rémy’s, the unknown young boy with a cigarette, melancholy has somewhat disappeared, making way gradually for a young man closely watched in the game who will still have to continue working on his lyrics but also on his image to establish himself durably. And that’s good because on one hand, he has varied his artistic offer a lot (even if drill and kickage seem to be his favorite vibes) and is building a true identity, and on the other hand he is also a big fan of clothes and fashion, shaping an image on that level too.
Project X Paris approved by KaNoé It’s no coincidence that we decided to talk about KaNoé at Project X Paris. The artist is fully into fashion and streetwear, like many of his rapper colleagues. And he seems to really like us, at least as much as we like him! We saw him in several interviews, including one where he wears a hoodie. A rather simple white model, almost plain, with just a small logo on the chest. We know simplicity can also mean efficiency in streetwear, especially when talking about a hoodie, the streetwear garment par excellence.
But his favorite piece from PXP seems to be the unisex Brush tracksuit “all over”. One of our most requested models these last two years, very popular with young rappers (Uzi also really liked it). KaNoé chose the black tracksuit set, with logos covering the entire clothes. The jogging bottoms are particularly comfortable, and the tracksuit, as everyone knows, is one of the flagship pieces in streetwear history. In rap as in clothes, the young rapper makes a point of respecting codes and history, like the title of his first project, “Savies”, the old name given to the Belleville area he comes from. A neighborhood that is perhaps, in France, the epicenter of street culture, streetwear, and also a major rap land.
It is therefore an honor for our streetwear brand Project X Paris to be approved by talented young artists like KaNoé, who well represents the new urban generation. A phenomenon who came straight from the street thanks to the Internet, who knows and respects communication, rap, and current style codes. Not forgetting the origins of these movements, he comes from one of the cradles of French urban culture. We obviously hope he is preparing big things for 2022, even if we’re not too worried about that!
French rap is constantly evolving, and a new generation of artists is shaking up the scene with boldness. Among them, Kanoé stands out as a rising figure, a raw talent whose energy and authenticity pierce every track. Project X Paris, always close to new trends, naturally finds itself at the heart of this rising star’s style.
Streetwear, a common language between Kanoé and PXP, is an obvious meeting between urban culture and streetwear fashion. The artist has been seen wearing some of our iconic pieces, reflecting both his raw energy and authenticity.
In one of his clips, he chose the black unisex "Brush all over" tracksuit, a must-have combining comfort and bold style. In a memorable interview, he appeared with a clean white hoodie, proof that minimalism can also be a strong style statement.
These clothing choices translate a natural connection with Project X Paris’s DNA: a fashion that merges hip-hop’s boldness, street spirit, and an avant-garde touch.
