Adidas Arena, October 6: the door France has been waiting for
The Adidas Arena is only two years old and already has an Olympic background. Built for the Paris 2024 Games, the venue at Porte de la Chapelle hosted badminton and rhythmic gymnastics before becoming the home of Paris Basketball. On October 6, it changes scenery: a ring, ropes, 8,000 seats to fill.
That evening, AEW crosses a threshold it had never crossed before. No American wrestling company of this caliber had ever held a televised show on French soil. Grand Slam France will be the 9th edition of the series, following four New York events at Arthur Ashe Stadium, two visits to Arena México, and two in Australia.
A quick reminder for those new to the context: AEW, or All Elite Wrestling, is the wrestling company founded in 2019 by Tony Khan, now the main rival of WWE in the United States. Grand Slam is its flagship label for major events, reserved for large venues and new cities. Paris is now on that list.

Dynamite and Collision: two shows in one night
The announced format is no coincidence. AEW is not coming for a standalone gala: the Paris evening will serve to record AEW Dynamite and AEW Collision, its two weekly shows. Two shows, one night, one ticket.
Practically, what the Chapelle audience sees live will then be broadcast in the United States: Dynamite on Wednesday on TBS, Collision on Saturday on TNT, both simultaneously on HBO Max. In other words, the Paris audience will not be a touring audience. They will be the sound backdrop for two national American broadcasts, cameras focused on them.
That’s the whole difference between attending a show and making a show. The stands become a sound track. And a French arena roaring for two hours can be heard all the way to Jacksonville.
Why Paris, and why now?
The question deserves to be asked: what triggers the shift after seven years of existence? AEW’s answer: a French audience that has already proven its appetite by taking the Eurostar. For years, fans from the Hexagon have traveled to London to see All In, the company’s major British event.

Khan does not hide his ambition: he hopes to make Paris a lasting stronghold for his live events. Another name supports the bet, that of Will Ospreay. The Brit has already wrestled in France in 2019 and 2023 on the independent scene, and he describes those evenings as stunning, with an atmosphere closer to a football stadium than a classic wrestling show.
His prediction is clear: as soon as the bell rings in Paris, the audience will make AEW understand it wants to see it return. A hungry audience, deprived of major televised events, ready to travel miles for a ticket. It’s not a conquest, it’s catching up.

The countdown starts well before October 6. Public sales open on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM, Paris time, on AEWTix.com and LiveNation.fr. Early access is planned for members of the AEW Insider program, free and open for registration on the company’s official website.
Mark the date, set an alarm, don’t delay. Eight thousand seats for a national first on a market that has been waiting for years: the math speaks for itself.
One detail, however, remains completely in the dark: no match and no star have been announced at this stage. AEW has opened the door without showing what’s behind it. The lineups will be revealed in the coming weeks, and it’s precisely this silence that raises the pressure.
