From hardwood to microphone: the trajectory of a reluctant rapper
Before the studios, there were the courts. 63OG grew up with a dream in mind: to become a professional basketball player. Talent pushed him all the way to the United States, where the orange ball is played the hardest.
But the hardwood dream eventually stalled. What remained was an engine still running, and only one question: what fuel to give it? The answer came after high school. It would be rap, nourished by the American scene that rocked his adolescence.
He defines himself as a "reluctant rapper." The phrase says it all: nothing was written, everything was triggered. Sport left him with something precious, a competitor’s discipline that he now applies to his releases.
Cold trap and laid-back flow: the signature that hooks
63OG’s trademark lies in a contrast. On one side, minimalist and cold productions, on the other a calm, almost casual flow that slides on the beat without ever forcing.
It’s the meeting of three worlds: trap, plugg and DMV flow, that energy coming from the Washington scene. His influences are assumed: Chief Keef, Playboi Carti, Young Nudy, Summrs.
The result sounds like an immediately identifiable signature in the French new wave. A raw, somewhat mystical aesthetic that explains why he has established himself as one of the most followed rookies of his generation.

From 63WA to PXP Records, the rise in power
63OG does not move alone. He is the standard-bearer of 63WA, a collective founded with Cameroonian friends around a clear mantra: « Nous Par Nous ». A way of saying that success is built in a pack, not solo.
In 2023, he laid the foundations with PRETTYBOYMUZIK then MYSTIQUE TRAP. In 2024, he expanded the circle by joining the collective 75ERA on the EP Dernier Train, twelve tracks with marked trap influences. Then comes 2025 and MPM, a direct nod to his crew’s motto.
Each project raises the counter. And when the engine runs at this pace, it always ends up crossing a structure designed to boost it even faster. This structure is PXP Records.

The meeting came at the best moment. PXP Records just broke records with « WAWA », one million views in five days. The label doesn’t ease up and immediately follows with a new missile.
This missile is « MOTEUR », a feature between Kodes and 63OG. Two minutes thirty-three, no frills: pure rap, nervous, made for the playlist. A co-production by PXP Records and No Cap Entertainment, distributed by Believe.
