Phoenix, 25 candles: why this edition changes scale
Twenty-five years. That’s the age Hip Hop International celebrates this year, and it doesn’t plan to do it quietly. From July 25 to August 1, the Arizona Grand Resort has turned into an Olympic village of dance: flags, anthems, nations parade, drone show at the opening.
More than 3,000 dancers from 55 countries have settled in the desert. The stage is set. Now to light the fuse.

Many former Worlds champions have become choreographers for J.Lo, Rihanna, BTS or Blackpink. Hip Hop International also gave birth to the show America's Best Dance Crew. On this floor, you don’t just win a title: you launch a career.
Marble favorites and burning outsiders
Among adults, one name dominates the hype: Wan Squad. The Papuans aim for a triple after their 2024 and 2025 titles, and their ultra-clean street style discourages the competition. Behind them, the Mexicans from Bunkers are lurking.
In MegaCrew, Legit Status reigns. The Filipinos, crowned in 2023 and 2025, look like a machine no one can stop. Canada holds Varsity with GRVMNT, Japan fields Monsoon! in Junior. On paper, the favorites are marble. On the floor, everything can melt in two minutes.
Bumpy and Raul: the spark that drives Japan crazy
It’s the spark no one saw coming. Raul, member of the J-pop group Snow Man and exceptional dancer, competes this year in MiniCrew with crew Bumpy. Injured, he missed the 2024 edition.
His comeback ignites Japan. The TBS channel films a three-hour special, social networks are on fire. Bumpy ranked 9th place in prelims. If the crew climbs the podium on August 1, the shockwave will far exceed the dance world.
How to follow the August 1 final?
The final takes place on Saturday, August 1 at 6 PM, at Mullett Arena, on the Arizona State University campus in Tempe. Not there? Hip Hop International’s official livestream broadcasts the entire evening.
One tip: block the slot. Scores are decided by tenths, verdicts fall live. Don’t delay — a Worlds final can’t be rewound.

New in 2026, the Encore Round gives crews eliminated in prelims a second chance three days later. Not to qualify, but to perform again, improve their score and get judges’ feedback. A helping hand that warms the village atmosphere.
