The stage was on fire. The sound was banging, sneakers bounced on the concrete, and the crowd vibrated in unison. Playin’Paris 2025 was much more than an event: it was a manifesto of urban culture, and we were there. Present, engaged, in the heart of the action. Because when La Place brings together basketball, music, and DJing at Forum des Halles, it’s the whole DNA of streetwear expressing itself.
A legendary DJ Contest… with a 10-year-old winner!
Were you there? Then you know. That evening on June 6 at La Place will never be forgotten. The DJ Contest saw the best beat talents face off, in a format inspired by the greatest battles. And the winner of this 2025 edition? JOANILS, barely 10 years old.
A set of crazy precision, an electrifying vibe… and a standing crowd cheering this prodigy on stage, mastering the decks. He walked away with:
- 1000€ prize money
- The exclusive PXP x Playin’Paris bomber
- A DJ bag + 300€ vouchers
- A personalized Phase Essential
- And above all… eternal respect from the entire room
At Project X Paris, we believe in the power of the next generation. And that night, we saw it embodied.
An exclusive bomber for a unique vibe
At Project X Paris, we don’t just watch things happen. We make them move. For this 4th edition of Playin’Paris, we released the exclusive PXP x Playin’Paris bomber: a piece designed for performers, dreamers, game-changers. A bomber cut for the stage… and worn by Dirty Swift himself during the DJ Contest.
It wasn’t just a jacket. It was a symbol of our collaboration, a nod to the hip-hop roots of the event, a textile extension of the urban vibe. And so you can join the movement too, we created a few pieces in ultra limited edition, available only on our website.
When 3x3 basketball shakes the capital
On June 7, the terrace of Forum des Halles turned into an arena. 3x3 tournament finals, DJ sets, dance, showcases... Streetball regained its nobility under the Canopée, in an atmosphere blending adrenaline and lifestyle.
Teams gave their all to succeed Selftalk and Noname. And while baskets kept falling, the crowd enjoyed sets by DJ Lass, a France/Brazil performance led by B-Girl Tweoi and B-Boy Till, and a high-energy musical show with Clara Charlotte and DAKEEZ.
A meaningful collab
This partnership with Playin’Paris is much more than a PR stunt. It’s a natural meeting between two worlds that breathe the street, performance, and creation. Basketball, music, dance, DJing… disciplines where style matters as much as talent.
With La Place, we share the same ambition: to shine a light on urban culture in all its expressions. And this 2025 edition, we can say, marked a turning point. By its energy. By its audience. By the creativity that emerged.
