Akon makes his comeback with a new single titled “Yes”

The 44-year-old singer had stepped back from the music industry for a few years to use his fame in support of humanitarian causes.

Some regions of Africa lack infrastructure, water, and electricity. Of Senegalese origin, the artist has never forgotten where he came from. That’s why he launched a project worthy of his talent. His mission? To help 600 million African households without electricity.

In just two years, Akon managed to take on this enormous challenge by equipping homes, schools, and villages with solar panels and other structures. But he has not put aside his first love: music. Akon is back with a new colorful and rhythmic afro-pop track, much to our delight. We’ll never get tired of his unique voice that has made us dance and cry.

As a producer, singer, and humanitarian, Akon is clearly more than just an artist—he’s an entrepreneur who doesn’t hesitate to help others. These are values we admire and highlight at Project X Paris.
