Thanks to social networks, artists have been able to share their creations more spontaneously, without having to go through the filters of the big media groups. Redha Jr is one of the many influencers who have emerged by creating content on his platforms, and we decided to do a little focus on him on the occasion of the release of his "Garda'Vue" series on Youtube, with which we collaborated at Project X.

The multiplication of broadcasting platforms, with the emergence of TikTok and Instagram / Snapchat stories in particular, has considerably changed the Youtube Game. While the first generation of successful Youtubers (Norman, Cyprien, Squeezie and all the others who started out in the late 2000s) are still very much in place, they are no longer the benchmark. Formats have changed: they're much shorter and punchier, for example, since the emergence of Tik Tok. And in this new configuration, Redha Jr is among those who are doing best. With 4.4 million subscribers on TikTok, 786k on Insta, and 333k on Youtube, he has established himself on all platforms, which is important to diversify his content and last over time.

But diversifying isn't enough to get you where you are. Redha Jr's journey is pretty incredible, as he launched on TikTok at the very beginning of 2020. A year later, he already had over 2.5 million subscribers. This lightning success can be explained by the fact that his videos are quite funny - that's the basics. But it's also down to containment, which has enabled millions of people to immerse themselves in Internet content to escape boredom. It's fair to say that Redha Jr. is one of those figures who helped the French (and especially a lot of young people) to relax during this sad period. But his success is also due to the modern "tone" of his videos, the type of humor he uses, and the way he pokes fun (always with love) at certain clichés about Algerians, young people, parents and chicks. A true success story that has led him to launch new concepts.

"Garda'Vue", with a nod to Project X Paris

After the success of TikTok, Redha Jr has taken things a step further by launching a mini-series on Youtube. The series is called "Garda'Vue" and the first season is already available in its entirety on Youtube. With 5 episodes of between 3 and 10 minutes each, it's a quick enough watch, and the pace of the sequences is pretty steady. It's a little UFO of the kind the platform offers too few of: Redha plays a completely has-been and incompetent cop, Raymundo, who thinks he's Tony Montana. With his colleague, Armand (played by Amine G7), they have to deal with several interrogations with suspects who are also completely nuts. The Algerian daronne, the sunglasses salesman, the voodoo witch, it's all there. We also come across cult characters from Redha's TikToks, such as Moustache and a few others. The influencer wrote the series himself, and frankly, it's really effective and funny.

At Project X Paris So we're delighted to have been able to collaborate with the series on a model of bag exclusive. This bag is an emblematic object in the series, appearing in almost every episode, as it contains the famous and completely zany "clues" used by the police to try and lock up suspects. Admittedly, with little success each time... Our brand's modest contribution to the "Garda'vue" series is part of a wider commitment to supporting the artists, creators, influencers and humorists who influence today's urban culture. Of course, we hope that these collaborations will be long-lasting, because it's all these influencers who inspire us for our new collections, and at PXP we're delighted to give them a little boost when the opportunity arises!
