In the midst of all the emerging reality TV projects, "La Mif", broadcast by Canal + via MyCanal, is one of the most ambitious. The show follows the daily lives of Carla and Kevin from Les Marseillais, and their gang of friends, as they embark on various missions. Project X Paris was fortunate to be able to work closely with the series.

Reality TV hasn't always been popular in France. We remember in particular the In the early days of shows like Loft Story, contestants were released into the wilderness with no help from the network and a whole new notoriety, which can be very hard to deal with. But almost 20 years after the arrival of this style of TV in France, it's safe to say: reality TV is more established than ever. Numerous franchises have emerged and endured, including Secret Story, Les Marseillais, Les Anges and La Villa des Cœurs Brisés. But while it's fair to criticize these shows for looking a bit the same, there are a few that stand out from the crowd.

Such is the case with "La Mif", the show broadcast on MyCanal by Canal +. A reality show that isn't about confinement this time, it follows Carla Moreau and Kevin Guedj, two proud Marseillais, and their gang of buddies, as they go about their daily lives, spicing things up with a few missions. The series began its second season at the end of 2021, with 9 episodes on the schedule, 3 more than the first season. This is due to the growing success of the series, which can be explained by the likeability and spontaneity of the characters we see on screen, but also to the notoriety of Carla and Kevin, who, with their crazy epic within Les Marseillais, have built up a solid fanbase (3.3 million followers on Instagram for Carla and 2.4 for Kevin).

It's not for everyone to last in reality TV: to do so, you have to get noticed, and therefore inevitably put yourself and your character in a bit of danger. You also need to be able to take a long-term view, and have the solid shoulders to deal with any problems caused by notoriety. Because reality TV is an "unfiltered" genre, the reactions it provokes in the public are also pretty straightforward, and you can quickly find yourself the target of attacks on the networks or in real life. But Carla and Kevin have managed to build up their image, stabilizing it, particularly after the announcement of their first child in 2019. And with "La Mif", they intend to give reality TV new ideas.

Project X Paris presents "La Mif"!

With their new image as a strong couple who've weathered many a storm, Carla and Kevin were able to work with production company H2O on this reality show, somewhat inspired by "The Incredible Kardashian Family" (in the everyday star aspect), but much more benevolent, with much less tension and without the slightly unhealthy side that could be found in the American show. The star couple and their group of buddies carry out their activities in good spirits (more often than not) and without any headaches, making a welcome change from the clash-filled atmosphere sometimes found in other shows of this kind. And for season 2, the teams have chosen to give the missions a Christmas theme, so feel-good is guaranteed, even if you can of course count on our Marseillais to set the mood.

At Project X Paris We're always keen to get close to influencers and work with them, or even simply to give impetus to various projects that speak to us. So we were delighted to collaborate with the "La Mif" teams, who even went so far as to have us appear in the series, in episodes 6 and 7, when the girls are ordering gifts on our site and Carla is wearing our famous signature sweatshirt. She wears it in cocooning mode, and having tested it, the model is really extremely comfortable for this use. We're very happy at PXP to be able to count Carla and Kevin among our fans, who are the first (after Thomas and Nabilla) to have a show centered on them and their loved ones, especially since they regularly send us strength on Instagram via stories, just like Julien Guirado, Maissane, or even Fiona who also have important roles in the series. And we're already looking forward to seeing the whole "La Mif" team in season 3, which will focus on Carla and Kevin's wedding!
