She has gone from being an unknown to one of the new generation's favourite stars in a matter of months, and at only 16 years old. Wejdene's success story has so far had all the makings of a Hollywood script, and now she has to come back from being a revelation to being an established, established artist. And the singer has the weapons to do it !
Wejdene, the phenomenon of the moment
The music industry has been hijacked by the Internet and the days when record companies and the media made and broke stars are over. The judges are now called streaming platforms and social networks. And in this game Wejdene is one of the strongest. Behind Aya Nakamura, she is one of the French artists who has exploded the scores the most, notably via her hits like "Anissa" or "Coco". She owes this success to her talent, to her serious team (including the famous Feuneu), but also to her strong presence on social networks. She killed TikTok with "Anissa", is followed by more than 2 million people on Instagram, and has also become very close to the Youtubers of her generation, such as Michou, Inoxtag or Just Riadh, some of whom even appear in her clips! An assumed girly side, a little character, talent and good communication: the winning cocktail for the singer.

A cocktail that has a good taste of suburbia and urban culture, and that's not by chance. Born in Saint-Denis, Wejdene grew up in La Courneuve before moving to the 91. She is also the daughter of Tunisian musician Badra Zarzis, so we can understand all the influences in her music: rap (especially in the way she chooses her words), more Afro-trap rhythms, RnB, and overall her mastery of melody. But if the young girl has had her influences, she has built her own universe, more acidulous, more girly, with her songs in which she talks about the daily life of a young girl from the city, with a penchant for songs about disappointed love affairs, guys who behave badly, but also a good dose of malice, resourcefulness and pride. A personality that has resonated with thousands of young people in France, who recognize themselves in Wejdene, in her kindness but also in her ambition. For the young singer is far from the rather naive image that some of the media have given her.
She was able to capitalize on this sympathy capital to continue to grow her brand, her image, until she was invited to season 11 of "Danse Avec Les Stars". A winning bet that was not really a winning bet for the show's production and for TF1, which recorded an average of 600,000 more viewers than the previous season. With Wejdene, Michou, Bilal Hassani and Tayc, the production wanted to bring young people back to the screen, which was a damn good idea. Between that, and the success of her first album "16", certified platinum, we can say that the singer has already made quite an ascent. In addition, she has almost completed a major tour throughout France, which went off without a hitch. At only 18 years old, she has already started to sow the seeds of a second album by releasing new tracks, so this is only the beginning of the story for the singer, who is now invited by very diverse artists such as Jul or Kalash, proof that she is going to settle more and more in the game.
Wejdene in full swing with Project X Paris
Settling down means mastering your image and Wejdene understands this. This is also one of the reasons why we wanted to work with her at PXP. Very present on social networks (especially Instagram and Snapchat), we were especially convinced by her styles in her different clips. Whether it's in "Coco", "Anissa", or "16", each time we are treated to a new quality outfit, with real stylistic attempts that pay off, and that's what we like. The singer is a true connoisseur of fashion and streetwear, and it's normal, she comes from this culture. All this, without forgetting to assert her feminine and girly identity. We were therefore lucky enough to be able to collaborate with the artist, through a partnership that fulfilled all our expectations. We were treated to a very successful shoot, with the main theme being the university capsule, the American garment par excellence worn by many students in the States. The central piece was the women's bomber jacket (which also exists for men), the iconic jacket of US college sports, whether in basketball or American football. It's a bit of an old school style piece, but we told you, Wejdene knows her classics and paired with a white top, baggy jeans and a pair of Jordans, it works. On stage, she sent us a maximum of strength since almost all her team appears in a Project X Paris women's jogging outfit. As for Wejdene, she opted for a rather simple outfit, just to be comfortable during the performance, with a pair of sweatpants, a little white top and a pair of Jordans. The singer knows when to keep it simple and efficient and she doesn't shy away from more "posed", more natural looks when the mood strikes.

Like when she goes into cocooning mode on the tour bus, with loose clothing, like a hoodie for example. But cocooning or not, it's important to stay stylish, and Wejdene has managed to combine comfort and flair, with a two-tone, two-material hoodie in white and blue (with a colour and look reminiscent of denim), to match her Tour Bus!
The hoodie is worn with a pair of white and blue bi-coloured sweatpants, which gives us a very successful "women's jogging suit" effect, quite loose, very comfortable and rather soft. The whole thing is always worn with a pair of light sneakers, which also has a nice effect. We think that Wejdene fits perfectly with the image we want to send back to Project X Paris, and we are therefore obviously delighted to be able to count her among our muses. We wish her all the best for her tour, which is already well underway and going well so far, and for her upcoming album. It should allow her to reach an even wider audience and to assert herself even more, it's the logical continuation of her incredible journey !
