Before we get back to the news, we wanted to take a look back at the crazy year 2021 at Project X. Because this year, we changed dimension again, offering more pieces, more collabs, more partnerships, with ever-growing success. Here's a non-exhaustive flashback to our streetwear news!

According to tradition, you have until the end of January to wish your loved ones a Happy New Year. So it's with a little delay, but a lot of love, that we at PXP wish you a wonderful 2022. And as tradition dictates, it's also time to take stock of everything that's happened for us over the past year, because we've had lots and lots of news, and you've probably missed a few things. What's more, we're currently on sale, so you'll be able to catch up at a reduced price if you've missed out on a capsule! Let's go for the 2021 flashback.

Project X Paris and the rap game: business as usual

This has been the year when PXP has considerably occupied the rap game, thanks to collabs with artists at the top of the hype. Starting with Bosh, of course, with whom we'd already worked in the past, but who once again came on board to help us promote the capsule. Origin We're also proud to present the Project X Paris tracksuit with sweatshirt and jogging bottoms. His ultra-aggressive, powerful persona seems to have been tailor-made for our Over Stuff or Utility pieces, so it's a perfect match.

We're also proud to have worked with Uzi, an emerging figure on the Paris rap scene. He's one of the future stars of the French rap game, but has already climbed the ladder with some big successes, such as his album "Cœur Abîmé". With his youth and confidence, we were able to give him a taste of the most extravagant and original pieces in our collections, and guess what: he loved it! Especially the colors tie and dye or the capsule Brush with PXP logos all over the garment.

What also stood out for us was the fact that we were able to export to Marseilles and even to Marseilles rappers. Not necessarily the most motivated when it comes to wearing saps that say "Paris", they nevertheless sent us a lot of energy. Particularly Soso Maness, a child of the northern suburbs, who brought us his good humor and mischievous side. A big fan of sapes and streetwear, Soso showed that he was just as comfortable with our classic pieces (signature red sweatshirt) as with the more unusual (tie and dye colors, denim jacket, etc.).

But Soso isn't the only Marseillais to have worked with Project X Paris this year. We were also treated to a splendid collaboration with Naps, another hyper-important figure on the Marseilles rap scene. We knew he was also a big fan of sapes, with his "Miami / Tony Montana" style shirts worn in certain clips. The rapper went all the way to Paris for an already cult shoot, in a beautiful house not far from the Louvre, and it was an opportunity for him to represent his city with the capsule Marseille crew as well as our finest sweatshirts and hoodies.

PXP capsules galore: One Piece, Papillon,...

While we've been very active with the rap game, we've also gone wild on other fronts, such as Capsules. Starting with our biggest success in this category: the Project X Paris x One Piece collaboration. This success can be explained as much by the quality of the pieces on offer as by the incredible enthusiasm of fans when it comes to the One Piece phenomenon, one of the major works of current culture. First and foremost, the signature pieces, such as the signature hoodie or the signature t-shirt. Pieces that sold so well that they were out of stock, but are now available again. There were also less classic garments, like the One Piece all-over t-shirt, or the CREW t-shirts and sweatshirts.

We haven't forgotten the bottoms in this capsule, and there are also several ranges of manga-inspired tracksuits, again with all-over, signature designs. This collection, released at the end of the year, was a real tidal wave, both online on our website and in store. In fact, we hope to repeat this kind of experiment in the future, with collections directly inspired by pop culture icons. It's a way of stepping out of our comfort zone and reaching a completely unexpected public not originally interested in streetwear.

Another big hit of the year was capsule brush The PXP brand is characterized by "all-over" models, where PXP logos cover the entire garment, as well as a number of unisex models, the latest trend in streetwear. Today, it's one of our most recognizable capsules. Our other big successes, which have helped establish the brand's spirit in 2021, include the Butterfly capsule a little less diversified, a little easier to access, more discreet, but devilishly effective too. Bonus point for the ladies: a butterfly-embroidered denim model has been specially designed for the collection.

We've already told you about the Marseille Crew a great success with our friends to the south, but a capsule Paris Crew was also unveiled, with quite a few different shades and garments. Both worked really well, and we'd like to thank both Crews for supporting us in this way. Another big success, especially in this winter period, was the entire Soft Mood The best way to combat the cold, or simply to go into cocooning mode. Jogging suits, sweatshirts (with or without hoods), pilou-pilou, overshirts, in short, everything you need to avoid suffering from these hostile temperatures, in style.

More and more competitions

Another area in which we've been working hard for 2021 is our competitions, and more generally, the things we do to thank you for all the strength you give us. We organized lots of little events with draws, as well as larger-scale contests, like the one where you could win one of three pairs of must-have sneakers this year: the Yeezy 700 V3, the Air Jordan OG Low SP Fragment by Travis Scott, or the Nike Dunk Low Off-White by the late Virgil Abloh. A great success, and we were delighted to bring it to you, especially as we at Project X Paris don't yet have our own sneaker model.

But of course, the most successful contest was the one that offered you the chance to become a PXP ambassador! It was like a big casting session, with a total of over 100 winners, who will accompany us throughout the 2022 season, which we hope will also be very busy in terms of news. The aim was to find personalities who stood out from the crowd, influencers, artists and up-and-coming comedians, all of whom have an attachment to Project X and streetwear in general, to work with. The program included a number of events, collabs on social networks and vouchers, and this year's contest was an even bigger success than the others.

So much so that well-known media such as Voici, Closer and Cosmopolitan seized the opportunity to talk about the brand. Proof that PXP is truly establishing itself as a must-have brand in today's fashion scene. Finally, the icing on the cake this year was our advent calendar, with a PS5 to be won, or an iPhone 13 and sneakers. We're keen to increase the frequency and scope of these competitions, and hope that our community will continue to support us with every initiative.

Stores in major French and Belgian cities

Finally, where we've made perhaps the most progress is in our territorial coverage. Project X Paris has succeeded in establishing itself in France's biggest cities, opening boutiques and concept stores. Today, we can boast some forty PXP boutiques, which is a real success for us. We have many boutiques in the Paris region, of course, but also several in Marseille, Lyon, Perpignan, Toulouse, Calais, Béziers and many others. In addition to the official PXP stores, a number of resellers have started working with us, so you can find us in other shops as well.

We also decided to broaden our horizons. We'd often been validated abroad (Dubai, London), but we'd never been so much in demand as by our Belgian friends. The brand has become much more popular on the other side of the border, and in response to growing demand, we've also decided to set up a few boutiques in Belgium's biggest cities. We'd like to thank you for everything you've enabled us to do, by supporting us in every initiative. And we swear we'll try to make 2022 at least as exciting for us!
