She has gone from unknown to one of the new generation's favorite stars in just a few months, at just 16 years of age. The success story of Wejdene has so far had all the makings of a Hollywood script, and now it's time for her to make a comeback, transforming herself from revelation to established, established artist. And the singer has what it takes!

Wejdene, the phenomenon of the moment

The music industry has been hijacked by the Internet, and the days when record companies and the media made and broke stars are over. The judges are now streaming platforms and social networks. And in this game, Wejdene is one of the strongest. Behind Aya Nakamura, she is one of France's most successful artists, with hits such as "Anissa" and "Coco". She owes this success to her talent, to her serious team (including the famous Feuneu), but also to a strong presence on social networks. She killed TikTok with "Anissa", is followed by over 2 million people on Instagram, and has also become very close to the Youtubers of her generation, such as Michou, Inoxtag and Just Riadh, some of whom even appear in her clips! An assumed girly side, a little character, talent and good communication: the winning cocktail for the singer.

A cocktail that tastes of suburbia and urban culture, and that's not by chance. Born in Saint-Denis, Wejdene grew up in La Courneuve before moving to the 91. She is also the daughter of Tunisian musician Badra Zarzis, so it's easy to see the many influences in her music: rap (particularly in the way she chooses her words), more Afro-trap rhythms, RnB, and overall her mastery of melody. But if the young girl has had her influences, she has built her own universe, more acidulous, more girly, with songs in which she talks about the everyday life of a young girl from the city, with a penchant for songs about disappointed love affairs, guys who behave badly, but also a good dose of mischief, resourcefulness and pride. A personality that resonates with thousands of young people in France, who recognize themselves in Wejdene, in her kindness but also in her ambition. For the young singer is far from the naive image she has been portrayed as in certain media.

She capitalized on this goodwill to continue growing her brand, her image, until she was invited to take part in season 11 of "Danse Avec Les Stars". It was a winning bet, but not really a winning bet for the show's production team and TF1, who recorded an average of 600,000 more viewers than in the previous season. Because with Wejdene, Michou, Bilal Hassani and Tayc, the production team had wanted to bring young people back to the small screen - a damn good idea. Between that, and the success of her platinum-selling debut album "16", it's safe to say that the singer has already made quite an ascent. What's more, she's just about completed a major tour of France, which went off without a hitch. A Only 18 years old, she has already begun to drop hints about a second album by releasing new tracks, so this is just the beginning of the story for the singer, who is now being invited by a wide range of artists such as Jul and Kalash, proof that she's becoming more and more established in the game.

Wejdene in full swing with Project X Paris

Settling in means mastering your image, and Wejdene understands this. It's also one of the reasons we wanted to work with her at PXP. Very present on social networks (notably Instagram and Snapchat), we've been particularly impressed by her style in her various clips. Whether it's in "Coco", "Anissa" or "16", each time we're treated to a new quality outfit, with real attempts at style that pay off, and that's something we really approve of. The singer is a true connoisseur of fashion and streetwear, and it's only natural that she should be, as she's completely drawn from this culture. All this, without forgetting to assert her feminine and girly identity. We were therefore fortunate to be able to collaborate with the artist, through a partnership that fulfilled all our expectations. In particular, we were treated to a very successful shoot, with the main theme being the university capsule the quintessential American garment worn by many students in the States. With the bomber jacket for women (which also exists for men), the iconic jacket of US college sports, whether in basketball or American soccer. It's a bit of an old-school style, but we've told you, Wejdene knows her classics, and paired with a white top, baggy jeans and a pair of Jordans, it hits the spot. It's a bit of an old-school look, but as we've told you, Wejdene knows her classics, and paired with a white top, baggy jeans and a pair of Jordans, it's a winner. On stage, she sent out a maximum of force, with almost her entire team appearing in women's jogging suit Project X Paris. As for Wejdene, she opted for a rather simple outfit, so as to be comfortable during the performance, with a sweatpants the little white top and a pair of Jordans. The singer knows when it's time to keep things simple and effective, and doesn't shy away from more relaxed, natural looks when the mood strikes.

Like when she goes into cocooning mode on the tour bus, with loose-fitting clothes, like a hoodie for example. But cocooning or not, it's important to stay stylish, and Wejdene has managed to combine comfort and flair, with a two-tone, two-material hoodie in white and blue (with a color and look reminiscent of denim), to match her Tour Bus!

The hoodie is worn with survet pants, which are also two-tone and two-material, white and blue, giving us a very successful "women's jogging suit" effect, quite loose, very comfortable and rather soft. All this, always worn with a pair of light sneakers that also make an impact. We think Wejdene fits in perfectly with the image we want to project of Project X Paris, so we're obviously delighted to be able to count her among our muses. We wish her all the best for her tour, which is already well underway and going wonderfully well so far, and for her forthcoming album. It should enable her to reach an even wider audience and assert herself a little more, as the next logical step in her incredible career!
